From May 19th to 25th, 2024, we, the 7b class of BG Lerchenfeld Klagenfurt went on a language trip to Dublin. This week was filled with learning and exciting activities. We stayed with host families in Bray, a charming suburb of Dublin, which allowed us to immerse ourselves in Irish daily life and improve our English through conversation. Every morning, we attended a language school in Bray. The lessons were fun and exciting. In one of our English classes we even conducted a murder trial, which was a valuable way to practice our language skills. On another occasion, we learned traditional Irish dances, adding a fun and cultural element to our studies. In the afternoons we had a variety of activities. We explored Dublin’s sights, such as the St. Patrick Cathedral and the Spire, and went on a beautiful cliff walk. Some of us even had the chance to attend the Europa League final, which was an unforgettable experience. We frequently visited Dublin’s city center for shopping and cultural exploration, enjoying the lovely atmosphere and historical landmarks. The Dublin trip was an invaluable experience. We improved our English, learned about Irish culture, and created lasting memories. Thanks to our school and teachers for making this trip possible.
